Among the most significant contributors to food security in the context of climate change is the camel. Camel is highly adapted and evolved with the tune of changing climates and consumers’ demands. Camel is a multipurpose animal, performing diverse types of tasks from hobby to transport and food production to sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very recently, the camel is making its way in the food business, especially for people who are reluctant to use conventional dairy products because of allergies and lactose intolerance<\/strong>. Additionally, there is a growing demand for camel milk among those who prioritize their health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This page will serve as a hub for debate, sharing of ideas, and information about camels, particularly the ancient camelids known as Arabian and Bactrian camels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Abdul Raziq Kakar, the founder of World Camel Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Raziq Kakar has a doctorate in animal science, with a special emphasis on dromedary as a potential dairy animal. He has been working with the camels since 2004. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Abdul Raziq is a renowned camelogist. He gained practical knowledge with camels, as a camel dairy professional through both training and experience. Since 2014, Dr. Raziq Kakar has been working exclusively with Alain Farms for Livestock Production, the world’s first commercial camel dairy in Abu Dhabi, UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my perspective, the camel is a wonderful biological paradigm for dealing with the warming world situation while generating health-promoting milk and meat in difficult conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m Dr. Raziq Kakar, an animal scientist by profession and a proud member of the livestock-rearing community. I belong to the historical pasturelands of the Arya Warsha and have great roots in animal agriculture. Our community had been keeping livestock on dry and marginal lands for ages. To me, livestock means keeping animals for food and agriculture in a very natural and humane way to produce healthy food items in symbiosis with nature, which is now called sustainability. https:\/\/arkbiodiv.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I have a Ph.D. in animal production science and see sustainable livestock systems as a strategy for food security under climate change conditions. In my perspective, the camel is a miraculous biological paradigm for dealing with global warming and the depletion of natural resources while delivering nutritious, promising milk and meat.
    I am a camel dairy professional, both by training and experience. I am familiar with camel dairy qualities, breeding goals, dietary requirements, calf raising, housing, long-term planning, camel milk selling, successful farm management, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I have knowledge and experience in livestock ecosystem rehabilitation to help restore degraded habitats for whatever reason. I have gained invaluable traditional knowledge of sustainable livestock production and can offer simple solutions to complex difficulties. My deep connection to environment, as well as my confidence in climate change adaptation and sustainability, distinguish me from my colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
